How the Thanksgiving plan worked out

Turns out there were two competing models.  The bento box model (introduced by me) and the buffet model (introduced by Dennis).  We had almost half of the food items pre-packaged in the plastic boxes I had purchased.  It shows just a little of the bento box area in this picture.  The salad, tarts, cranberry sauce and the pumpkin squares were in the little boxes.  The rest were served in a more traditional buffet.  The idea was that each household would have their own spoon.

I think that both models were fine.  This is what it all looked like in our garage.  I really liked that way that Dennis set it up.  Turns out that we had a lot of aluminum containers that people could use.

So Naomi, Danny, Jessica, Susanna (getting food for her household) and Nancy G came by to contribute food and leave with a boxful.  Also included sparkling cider and Thanksgiving napkins.

Then we had a zoom call with other family members.
