Last night,we took the whole crew out for dinner (including Danny and Jessica) for Susanna's birthday? Where? The old favorite, of course! The noodle house...or more precisely the Fu-Man Dumpling House, a little tiny place in north Greenwood. Seven tables, maybe? They don't have a noodle place like this in Lafayette Indiana, Birmingham Alabama or Ellensburg Washington so the event was eagerly anticipated. Even though our part was big (nine), we managed to get a table. The owner recognizes Danny, who now is in charge of the whole front end of a large sushi place. But Danny works all the time and looks exhausted. The job kind of monopolizes all of his time.
But where else can you order tons of good stuff and feed a group that size foor $120 before tip? We had multiple orders of dumplings and green onion pancakes, fried potstickers, fancy fried rice and noodles, barbecued chicken, hot and sour soup and wonton soup. All dumplings, noodles and wonton freshly made. Everybody was stuffed.
Megan and Alex gave Susanna this funny robot for her birthday that did lots of funny things. But Teddy did not like it, not one bit. He barked and barked and wanted to charge it with his nose. So funny but he was having none of it. Susanna finally put it away and Teddy looked and looked for it.
So that's the group that's been at my house the last few weeks.....
