Photoessay #2083 - Woodland stram

I would like to feature some of my brother's photos.  I've made them into much smaller files.  Check them out on his photo website

I originally was going to reflect on his self-portrait.  Instead I'm featuring one of his lovely landscapes.  He's really into the details.  Next step is to get these images out of the computer into the real world!

I got very distracted because...we're having some serious rain in the Seattle area.  Yes, I know, it's always raining in the Seattle area.  But, today, when I came home from the UW, we had serious water in my downstairs.  We've lived here 25 years and we've never had water in our house.  On either side of us, but not us.  I couldn't figure out how the water was coming in.  I called Dennis and he came home from work.  He couldn't figure out where it was coming from either.  The water was only in our office and Ilana's old room.  Fortunately these rooms have linoleum on the foundation slab.  We were able to sop  up the water with towels which indicates that there wasn't that much.  But, it seemed for awhile that every time I turned around I was seeing more water.

No serious damage so far.  Dennis suspects the new rain spouts put in when we replaced the gutters.  He fooled around with some things outside the house.  A bunch more rain is expected so I don't know if this incident is resolved.....
