Photoessay #2091 - Susanna's party

We had a going away party for Susanna yesterday.  I haven't figured out how many people came, not huge.  But like the last party a few weeks ago, it was bi-modal.  Some people came and, after awhile, left.  And then more people came and it turned into a different party.  We originally planned for 3pm start but the party went from 2pm until about 8pm.  Beautiful weather, summer special for Seattle, temps in the 70s and sunny.  A great thing about Seattle, it's not humid even though there's lots of water around and hardly any bugs so you can keep the doors and windows open.

Two of Susanna's ex-roommates came a little early and they said "Give us something to do!  Keep us busy!"  So they made the fruit plate and the fixings for the burgers.  The idea was for the folks that helped Susanna get in would come.  Alex and Megan and their three small kids plus two other OTs came by.

Plus Tucker, the black lab, came and he and Teddy endlessly fetched balls.  For hours.  Teddy's out cold today, he's so pooped.

I gave all the leftovers to Susanna for a 'friends party' today.  We inherited some fancy cheese from Rachel (friend)'s grandmother's memorial.  So that got passed on.  With all of the parties the last month, there's been a lot of the leftovers being passed on to the next party.

My challenge, of course, is not to eat  so much of the party food.  Crucial to give away the leftovers.  Don't eat them!

Pictures are from downstairs, Susanna cleaned up the yard.  Our new picnic table (well last year) getting some biz.  And Susanna and friends and Dennis looking down from the upstairs.
