Photoessay #2090 - Meet the parents

Danny and Jessica recently (well in April) their engagement.  They've both been working so many hours no definite plans have been made.  Jessica's mom and step-dad are up visiting from Merced so Danny arranged a 'meeting of the parents'.  Why is it that all of these parents of significant others seem so much younger than us?

Danny chose a Korean BBQ place.  He figured it would be interactive activity and he was right on with that.  A grill was in the middle of the table, they brought you lots of meat and vegetables and you (or the server) cooks things right at the table.  Plus they bring you lots of condiments and other bowls of things that you're not sure what to do with.  Makes a real mess by the end.

But it worked out great as we all worked together to cook the food.  Not really a problem as Jessica's mom and stepdad were easy to talk with.  Like many of the parents of our kid's significant others, they seemed so much younger than us.

We took this picture after the dinner.  Unfortunately Jessica's eyes were closed in each shot so the picture does not do her justice.  Also a shot of the table at the end with all of those dishes!

We just gone done with Susanna's going away party.  Whew!  We had tons of foot, much of the leftovers, I sent with Susanna for her party with her friends tomorrow.  We're all pooped out including Teddy.  A black lab named Tucker attended (he was here last night) and Teddy and Tucker, who were born within a month of each other, both are from the tiny community of Roy and both love to chase the ball.  Brothers of a different mother?  Well Tucker is purbred Lab and Teddy is a mutt of the first degree.  Other than that?
