It's girl scout cookie time. Almost over, actually. My mother taught me that you never walk by a scout selling cookies. So I don't. Twice, they've been set up at my favorite local grocery and each time I've bought $20 worth. I, myself, have spent many hours in front of that same grocery or other groceries or possible other not so approved places (wildcatting, if you will). Ilana and I used to like to sell in front of Home Depot. Those tired hungry guys working on their deck projects are a sucker for a box of cookies. Eventually we would be thrown out. Sometimes, when Dennis or I were in charge of the cookies, there came a time when you would have to sell all the leftovers, everything had to go. Naomi was always good at that. Once Ilana and I were stuck with 17 boxes and they were all trefoils. We sold all of them. At least, that's how I remember it. But I've definitely put in my time out in the cold with our beatup card table selling cookies.
Naomi is home for spring break so we made a sculpture from my last batch of cookies. Teddy thinks he might like to chew up one of those boxes should he get a chance. Thin Mints are not good for dogs. Naomi was very pleased with her grades this quarter. Ilana and Matt are in Lafayette and they found an apartment to rent. So that project is coming along. They stayed overnight with my sister and she fed them and sent them back on their way to Ann Arbor. But soon, Matt will be there and then Ilana.
