Photoessay #1987 - Some rabble rousing

I feel it coming on.

I spent most of the morning interfering with my sister's affairs about supporting financial aid documents for in ivy league schools.

So tonight is the last class of my Genealogy/Family History program for winter quarter.  This quarter we have been meeting at Paccar Hall, the new business school meeting.  Wonderful experience.

The first quarter we were in Thomson Hall, one of the oldest buildings.  Cramped, crowded, overheated.  Those desks with the fixed writing surfaces were all crammed in together.  You couldn't take a seat if you were carrying anything (like a coat) without tripping over all the furniture.  Once you sat down (with no room to put anything), you couldn't move.  You couldn't see the other people in the class or just the back of their heads because they couldn't move either.  Internet didn't work most of the time.

So this quarter in Paccar Hall, the business school.  Spacious tiered classrooms with comfortable swiveled chairs.  So we could really have a discussion, turn and see everybody.  Everybody could see, the new equipment in the front of the room worked great.  Much better experience.  Loved it

But next quarter, they want to put us back at Thomson again.  But not without a fight.  I'm bringing a petition tonight.

Here's a picture of Thomson Hall from the Washington State History Link site...HistoryLink.org photo by Peter Blecha  used without permission
