Photoessay #1292 - SIFF will be starting up again

Seattle International Film festival starts up this week. A big deal in this town, it runs for several weeks and there's about a zillion films at theatres all over town. Dennis has really become interested in film (at least watching them). So, two years ago I bought 2 'six-packs', a package where you can see six films of your choice. I thought maybe he would like going with me and also with other people but turns out it's just me.

It also gets us out. Like actually go to these movie these theaters and actually watch them. Not that we are recluses. So I bought the package again so let the negotiations begin. About which film when.

BTW if you are considering doing it. You sign up for your film online and go to will call at the theater to pick up the tickets right before the show. Even though there can be some big crowds, this system worked quite well.

Also planning our trip to California. Featuring 5 days in the high Sierra at Silver Lake. We went there for one night last summer and liked it so well that we're going back. Less emphasis on visiting. In fact, the only person we have on the docket is Sue B in Marin County. One night in Chico where we used to live on the way down. We would have liked to see a show in Ashland but not going to work out. Gonna get Dennis' road trip yearnings out and give him his desire to see that high dessert in far northern California. And spend some time at Silver Lake at 7300 ft altitude.

Picture taken at Pacific Place in downtown Seattle last year. There's a two level theater at the very top which is one on the SIFF venues.
