Photoessay #1277 - Infant Cognition

Our main reason for our trip to Vancouver yesterday was to visit Ilana's long-time friend Janine. She loves the city and her job as a lab manager. She showed us some of the materials that they use at one of her labs which studies how very young children react to moral situations. This puppet show had a main character, a lion who is trying to accomplish a task (opening a box). There's a 'bad' elephant that hits the lion and throws himself on the box so the lion cannot open it. The 'good' elephant helps the lion open the box. Janine gave a spirited rendition of the puppet show.

She's got a new apartment with great bus service in a trendy area of town with lots of services right nearby. We love you Janine!

We had a lovely lunch at an on-campus restaurant and walked around the campus a bit.

We only spent 6 hours in Canada!

PS Yesterday was the day of the Royal Wedding and we were at several locations in Vancouver as well as UBC and we didn't hear a word about it. Nobody talking, no pictures, nothing
