With the shortened days, I've been making my trip to the dog park earlier in the afternoon. You often hit the after school crowd. Another beautiful indian summer day here. Soon after we arrived, a somewhat disabled grandmother broght these three grandsons and an unwilling basset hound to the dog park. These guys LOVED Teddy and soon got him running around chasing them. 'C'mon boy! C'mere!" they would shout out as they went up and down the hills. They threw balls and sticks for him to chase. Teddy played along for quite awhile. But then, even he tired, he's not used to this!
I really like these three boys. They treated their own shy dog gently and thoroughly enjoyed the other dogs. They acted respecfully to their grandmother. I really wish these dog parks would have been around when my kids were small. Great entertainment. Susanna especially would have loved it. All those dogs running around.
The community group has a huge pile of wood chips in the back corner. I know people work hard maintaining this place. However the pile of chips is right near where I put the 'Bark' part of my "Swim and Bark" boxes. Not there any more. Dang, I have so many boxes missing. I scouted out a new space when I make a new box. I didn't like that stamp anyway.
I've made a contribution to the dog park people. They are trying to raise 4K so they can have a water pipe installed. Now, there are some dishes but people have to bring containers of water in for the dogs to drink. I'm only there every single day.
I often see dogs loping up to the gate in advance of their owners. They cannot WAIT to get inside.
