I went to find a picture of Naomi and I realized that I haven't posted a good picture of her on my blog for a long time. It's overdue! So I looked around and found this picture which is almost a year old. But we need some representation here. Guess what, there's lots more pictures of grandbabies. Wonder why?
Naomi is coming to Amsterdam for the stolperstein ceremony. She will read the statement of Peter, relative of Marta who is unable to come.
Dennis has talked to several friends and reports that some think this whole idea is kinda negative, maybe macabre. Why would we do it? Why do I do this? OBLIGATION, that's why. I know other family members agree. It's a thing of honor to remember those that have passed away. Even if it's in a death camp. All the more reason. We will not let them perish quietly, with no one to say Kaddush for them, we remember and honor them.
Maybe it's a Jewish thing....
