The pet memorial

Last Sunday, we had our combined pet memorial honoring Teddy (dog) Starbaby (cat) and George (cat).  We had the ashes for all of them.  I miss Teddy so much, such a good boy.  We decided to bury them in the backyard.  Through the 35 years we have lived there, we have buried many pets including some from Dennis' parents.  We always do a kaddush for them in the end.  We had some readings including the Rainbow bridge.  We had pictures of them which I passed around.  I invited people to tell stories.

We had a total of 13 people, some are shown here.  All masked (and that turned out to be a good thing). All outdoors.  Suzie, Megan and Scout came and they wanted everybody masked.  Which was ok with everybody.  Turns out that Dennis would test positive Covid on Tuesday and Jessica on Monday so we all got exposed.  Dennis, Jessica and Danny all got mild cases.  But Dennis now tests clear!

Afterwards I served ice cream, mixed berries and whipped cream.  Lemonade and ice water.  All in pans filled with ice.  It was still the big heat wave.
