Today we had our annual ASRG (Access Student Resource Group) picnic at the University of Washington. Because we are a Registered Student Organization we can use the student materials at the Resource Center including a canopy, tables and chairs. As always, I am always worried that nobody will come. But they do come, they always do. Dennis helped do the setup where we moved the materials onto the HUB lawn in from the student union building. It's reasonably level so we can accomodate people with wheelchairs. Because we are old, we picnic with tables and chairs.
Really nice turnout, very relaxing and friendly, we planned for an hour but stayed almost two; everybody was having such a nice time. There were enough big guys to help put everything away.
I think 14 people came. They don't want us to potluck but we did a little. People enjoyed hanging out.
It's been two years since we could have this event. Last year we had it off-campus in the common room at Diana's apartment building. That also worked well.
