Mother's Day

We have a nice Mother's Day tradition that we've had for several years.  I know things keep changing but I think we will be able to keep it going.  I have flower pots (and my farm) in the backyard on the lower deck (pictured), on my upper deck (where I'm taking the picture) and the front steps.  My adult children come and plant my flower pots on mothers day and I supply pizza.  It's not a hard job if I have the pots, the plants, extra planting soil, trowels and gloves available.  If we pitch in, it's done in 1/2 hour.  Especially as I'm not pick in what plants go where.

Seen from above, my daughter Suzie, my daughter in law Jessica and my other daughter in law Megan.  Here but not shown is my son Danny (probably on the upper deck) and my daughter Naomi who was working on the front steps.

It's fun and it gets a huge job done.  We've been putting off events because of COVID and Megan's pregnancy.  Even canceled seder at the last minute.  But everybody showed today.  Next week is Suzie and Megan's bridal shower plus Danny is speaking at Parent Group.  The week after that we are doing a multiple birthday celebration at a teahouse.
