My mother about age 20 (1944)

My mother's friend (and my friend too) Sue B, sent me this picture of my mother Claire Ginsburgh (1924-2010).  Sue thinks it was taken in 1944 or 1945.  Likely as part of a scouting adventure as my mother actively participating in attending and running girl scout camps.  I often say that the girl scouts is genetic.  In my case, it skipped a generation.  I, her oldest daughter, would have as little to do with girl scouts as I could get away with.  However my two genetic daughters loved LOVED scouting and participated through college.  Just like their grandmother.  Completely genetic.

So Claire is looking good here, her thick hair that I did not inherit, she's ready for scouting action!
