This is a picture of Ilana that I took while were doing Book Club with Skype on Sunday.  She does book club with me, with her dad, with her husband, with college roomate Ariel and I don't know who else.  This time we read "The Ravenmaster" by Christopher Skaife.  A modest memoir written by the Ravenmaster at the Tower of London.  Mostly it's about the ravens.  Which it should be about the ravens.  There are 7 ravens currently at the Tower.  All with names and their own habits.  The author clearly cares about all of the ravens and tells us about how he feels and also how the birds are fed, put to bed, their history at the Tower, etc.  We decided that we thoroughly enjoyed it but wanted more pictures  of the birds.

You can see my mother's Napoleon lamp in the background.  From the beginning Ilana wanted it.  Always has an honored place in her living room.  When she went to Michigan, it was one of the highest priorities for the back seat of my mother's old Buick.
