100 days

Today, Dennis and I were invited to the 100 days celebration of Tork Eng, who is my grandaughter's Melina's other grandfather.  In some Cambodian households, loved ones are remembered on the 100th day after their death.  It helps them to move on on their journey.  The family had set up this table with his picture and things he liked and had a little ceremony.  By design, we got there after that.  In this case, it was just immediate family.  And us.  Of course, they had made food which they served to us.  We had been a little concerned about the mask/Covid thing.  I had checked with Melina and we decided to wear our masks and be careful about the food.  Turned out to be a quiet day with family and kids.  It was a Thursday but nobody made a move towards work or school.  It was just a day to stay home.  We didn't stay too long, talked with Sophooey, Melina's mom, Melina (age 19) and her boyfriend Chris.  Got a tour of the new house.  Then drove the 55 miles home.
