Being with the Commander in Chief

This picture was taken today Friday May 8, 2020.  Yes, the middle of the Coronavirus epidemic.  The president and the first lady in her stilettos (natch). They are commemorating the 75th anniversary of VE Day today at the WWII Memorial.  All of those veterans are over 90 years old.

What is wrong with this picture?  Plenty.

Notice that everybody is close together, no social distancing.  Not ever a small attempt.  And nobody is wearing a mask, nobody.  Not the president whose valet has just been tested positive.  And all those elderly veterans, right next to each other.

Hi press secretary commented, when asked:

“It was their choice to come here and I can tell you that the President always puts the safety of our veterans first,”

What does this tell the country?  You don't have to follow the pandemic guidelines.  You don't have to physically distance or wear a mask.  The president doesn't do it so why should you?

75,000 dead.  And he doesn't see himself as a model.

Disgraceful.
