Photoessay #2893 - Fairfield University

The conference this last weekend was at Fairfield University, a Jesuit school in the prosperous town of Fairfield on Long Island Sound thirty miles closer to New York than New Haven.  I was expecting something more 'New Englandy'.  The houses around it certainly have that look.  Now, nothing is in bloom or even starting to green up in New England right now.  Mary Ann called this style of boxy buildings in yellow brick as being influenced by the Yale School of Architecture.

A view from a turn around.  The building in the center background has the history offices on the top floor and I used one of the classrooms on the first floor for my presentation.  The building on the left housed the conference proper.  You really can't see the auditorium we used; it's around to the right.

I'm not quite ready to give up this daily blog.  But sometimes I feel it fading.
