Photoessay #2892 - At the cemetery plus Nick D

We made our trip to the Mishkan Israel cemetery.  We always go.  Have to.  This time we went a bit to the older part of the cemetery and found some folks we had never seen before.

It's almost like the Mishkan Israel cemetery is a set piece of nineteenth century New Haven for me.  Everybody is there.  You just have to find them.  It's almost as if they are still interacting each other just in some new way that we cannot perceive.  Their relationships and lives are still there, if only I can discover them.

This time, we were joined Nick D.  Yale senior.  Son of my friend Ann.  Delightful young man.  He came and hung out at the cemetery then we had lunch at a groovy place.  And look at the sunshine.  He was a very good sport.

Nick and I standing on either side of Maier Zunder's memorial marker.
