I've been going through the 1867 New Haven papers looking for Maier Zunder's appointment to the Board of Education. Just scrolling through that microfilm. Or anything to do with the general Zunder/Weil families.
Done January and Feb so far. It's so tedious!
But I did find an item from Feb 26, 1867 Journal and Courier. Where Paul and Johanna Weil (two other great great grandparents) had celebrated their Wooden Wedding Anniversary which featured a loaf of bread which was really made out of wood. Much merriment about it.
Makes sense as they were married in 1862.
I looked and looked for a picture of a wooden bread loaf. Couldn't find one. So I used another cool thing made from wood which could be given as a gift.
