I haven't featured an Oregon softball picture for awhile. Oregon vs UCLA at Howe Field. Maybe 2006 was the year when my daughter played when they didn't advance to the NCAA regionals.
Hey, UO softball was wearing shorts in 2006. Now, they've gone to all pants. The players preferred them. Alicia Cook is pitching. Susanna is playing second base. In motion as always. Moving to second to cover. The pitch has already been thrown; the right handed batter has swung. The batter has hit the ball to the left side. The runner on second advancing, could that be Krista Colburn for UCLA? I made some attempt to identify the UCLA player but couldn't quite. Sari-Jane in center for UO.
That's a lot of seasons ago. You know how it is with college and high school sports. Empires rise and fall and are soon forgotten.
The springtime sun is shining in the Willamette Valley.
