Very successful research day

It's cold but productive in New Haven.  Today Charl and I went to the Jewish Historical Society at the Ethnic Heritage Center.  We photographed all of Volume 1 of the Zunder Family scrapbooks.  And part of Volume 2.  Volume 2 is really in pieces and the handwriting become problematic.  Sometimes it might not be MZ's writing.  But some clearly is.  We'll finish it tomorrow.

We also spent several hours in the afternoon at 'the Colony', New Haven Historical Society and looked at a lot of the Mishkan Israel files.  Charl discovered the envelope from the $720 note.  Had something to do with putting the cemetery land together.  Some other good articles and various handwriting samples.  Also the 60K note for the building of the Orange St Temple in 1896.

Action shot of my brother Charlie taking photos of Volume 1 of the Zunder Family Scrapbooks.  He took the pictures, I manipulated the scrapbook.
