Wasn't there something on the TV the other day about Small Business Saturday?
I would like to remind my readers of four small businesses run by family and friends. Entrepreneurship is not dead!
99 Monkeys https://www.facebook.com/MonkeysToys99 run by Alex and Megan (and their marriage can now be legal in Washington). Brick and mortar store on Greenwood selling new nad unsed tows in environmentally friendly packaging. Also art-irented care fro pre-schoolers. Susanna, Megan and Naomi have all worked there from time to time
Hammys Treats http://hammystreats.wordpress.com/ Yummy dog treats by Megan from Alabama. These doggy treats look and smell so good, I think they could double as xmas cookies. Teddy loves them. Danny's dog Maddie was over here the other day and he said that Maddie is very picky about what treats she liked but she gobbled up hers right away. They also have a gluten free product. Named for Susanna and Megan's puppy Hammy.
Painted Messages http://paintedmessages.com/ run by good friend Linda with assistance from her sister Nancy. Beautiful note cards of Linda's art offered as one kind or an assortment. Look at their special card for Women In Revolution
Sissy's Cupcakes http://www.facebook.com/pages/Sissys-Cupcakes/176307862396961 Custom cake pops and cupcakes by Ann-Marie out of Flagstaff Arizona. I bought some and they were so good. So tasty, I had to put some of them into the freezer so I wouldn't eat them ALL.
These are just a few. I bet any of my readers can think of some more
