Photoessay #2080 - Crossroads

There's the obvious crossroads...it's election day.  I remember four years ago when it seemed like Obama's election could make such a difference.  And I think it has, but the obstacles are so high and the opposition strong.  You end up with the pols still.

Can you believe the complacent entitled rich people complaining that they have to pay taxes.  I thought it was the poor people that are portrayed as entitled.  I've heard interview with the rich campaign contributors saying "if you want to have these privileges, go make millions of dollars yourself, oh you didn't?  You must be weak and stupid."

The moaning 1%, who can give them any succor.  I don't understand why people want to vote to make sure that the rich people still get what they want.  On your back.

Just look at cell phone contracts and see how much freedom you have to move.  Or try navigating a life course without access to medical care?

But I'm not bitter.  The main thing that I want enacted is same-gender marriage....

In this illustration, I like that the paths are not necessarily clear.  Not black and white.

So, that's how it looks at late middle age, fewer paths and they peter out in the distance.
