Likely most of us have that big picture project. I've already shown the collection of 50+ photo albums that I made plus I've inherited my mother's and Dennis' valley collection. Plus the hundreds of slides I had digitized a number of years ago.
Now, I've gone through the boxes and boxes (we're talking big boxes) of paper prints that Dennis took 2000-2005. I chucked hundreds of photos, probably 75% of them. Plus the drawers and boxes of loose photos that we all have.
Or had before everything became digital and now they're all on our computers (or phones, except me, seems a bad habit to start). How can we account for all of those?
When my grandmother died, my mother took her pictures and her own pictures and made each of us a family album, especially featuring our own pictures. I'm aiming to do that for my four children.
A while back, I went through the pictures I scanned for various reasons (likely for blog posts and I had four copies of each picture printed. I also ordered 4 inexpensive 'magnetic' photo albums. I put some of those scanned pictures in the albums, lost interest. Naomi put a bunch more but I don't really know if they got evenly distributed. I realized that none of my kids know who's in the pictures from my childhood, my parents, grandparents, nor Dennis. I've got to label all these pictures. I've decided just to put little labels next to the picture rather than writing on the back.
I'm working on these albums trying to get things in some sort of order, that most of the pictures are distributed and making the little labels.
I've taken MOST of the prints and have filed them in these bill boxes by year. I hope that many of these pictures will go into the albums. I started out with one bill box with the fancy filing sleeves (if you just put them in file folders, they fall out). Now I have 5 bill boxes and they're all stuffed.
What a project!!! What's the goal???? Why did we take so many pictures??
Teddy looking sad because he was a Bad Dog today. He pooped in the guest room and somebody peed in there and it was smelling pretty rank. So I had the carpets cleaned yesterday and went for the the extra special double doozie deodorizing in the guest room. And guess who pooped twice in the guestroom since yesterday afternoon?? Both Dennis and I have pointedly spoken to him (with some percussive maintenance) about this several times plus he got banished to the back yard for quite awhile.
