Photoessay #2042 - -More revisions

I was so excited yesterday with the news that my paper will be in the academic journal.  The editor never said it was accepted exactly but had clearly edited it very carefully, said it would be in a themed issue and gave me a tight deadline.  So, so, so that's enough for me.

Fortunately for me, I can clear the decks and just work on this.  I have the time and resources and it's very important to me.  The revisions she's asking for are quite minor and I'm fine with just about all of them.  It's still a lot of material with 12K words and 47 pages.

I had 5 figures in there; truly I was looking for some illustrations for a topic that didn't lend itself to pictures.  The image of Maier, easy to get permission to use that.  An image of the front of the report of the Majority and Minority report for the School Board.  I don't think I need permission for that.  And the others, forget it.

A few page numbers, I inexplicably had left off.  I still have my big binder of materials.  Plus I could get the old book I needed from UW library which I picked up today.

Really I'm close to sending it back to her.

Had my second class at UW today.  I 'thought' I knew how to get to the classroom in the disabled manner.  Turned out I didn't, went in the wrong door to the super confusing Smith/Gowen building and ended up wandering around clueless.  I did have to drag my bag up one flight of stairs which I was trying to avoid.  Talked with the TA afterwards, she gave me some German translation resources.

I wanted to put up an image related to my paper but instead will feature the shamrock representing the large number of Irish-born children in the New Haven school system in 1878.
