Photoessay #2041 - Revisions!

Big big news for me!  Huge!  I got home from Parent Group last night to find my long-awaited email from the editor of an academic journal.  I had submitted my Devotional Exercises paper in August.  I had never ever done anything like this before.  But I truly felt that this story had legs, it was significant historically, it had drama, nobody else had written about it plus it starred my man Maier Zunder (my great great grandfather 1829-1901).  I wrote it last spring in my Genealogy/Family History class.

I had written the editor, she had asked to see it.  I changed it around so it looked like more of a regional history article.  Went to great effort to convert my footnotes to endnotes.

But now I find out that they have a themed issue coming out "Religion in Connecticut Politics".  Perfect for my paper!!  I didn't even know about it!

I have to have everything done by next friday.  But I can do it.  They're not really asking for much.  I have to get written releases.  But this paper really only has two pictures.  One of Maier, I easily have the release (from Jewish Historical Society).  The other of Hillhouse High is tougher, I got it from Yale, they said they didn't have rights, that New Haven Historical Society.  So I'm going through them.  But I don't really need it.  I could just skip it and I would be fine.

Plus, they sent me the revised version with footnotes.  aaack, if I had known that???

I was so excited last night, just great news.
