Photoessay #2104 - Picture from a lost camera

Dennis took the film out of my old camera that I had bought when Danny was a baby (1982) and had it developed.  Somehow you get a feeling that the forgotten film will hold some mysterious lost long-forgotten moment.

I'll choose this picture.  Rockford Illinois.  My mother, sister, father(seated) brother.  My father passed April 2007, by the color of the leaves, I'm going to guess Autumn 2006.  On the screened porch of my parent's last home in the 'cottages' of Wesley Willows.  Yeah, my mom is cut off.  My brother is wearing the Oregon jacket that he bought on the trip he took with my parents to watch Susanna play to Eugene in 2004.

My father looks poorly, his hair is wispy as the result of chemotherapy sessions.  My mother got that same look some months before her own death.  Pale and everything bleached out.  Guess that lets me know how we all will look.

A happy time?  Not really but in those years, my brother and sister would come when I made the trip to Rockford (I lived the farthest away).  Seems like I made a lot of trips.  I did make a lot of trips.
