Phottoessay #2103 - Scenic picnic spot

< br /> You can't get much better than this! Picture from last Sunday from our trip to Mt. Rainier. We took our 11 year old granddaughter and her friend for the day to Paradise. We got there by around 11am and was able to snag a parking space. The picnic area was across the highway and seemed to have plenty of parking so we'll remember that. We carried our lunch across the road into this picnic area right after we got there. I had insisted that the girls have hats and walking shoes.

Picture was right out of the camera. That light seems reminiscent of California, maybe because of the altitude, 5400 ft. Our picnic was french bread, salami, cheese, grapes, cherries and rice krispie treat things I bought as an impulse purchase. The girls ate what was left on the way home. Lots of wildflowers and the mountain in the background. A little creek ran behind our picnic site; the girls liked that.  We couldn't bring Teddy, dogs are only allowed in the parking lot of the National Park.

Long ride back through some brushy depressed areas.  Near home, I asked Dennis if any of those areas appealed to him.  Not a bit, he replied.
