I would like to introduce our new family member, Mortie (aka Lord Voldermort and Mordecai) owned by (or owners of) Ilana and Matt.Mortie came from the local (to Lafayette) animal shelter, a black cat approximately 3 years old. Matt and Ilana said they wanted a laid back older cat. Not a kitten like Starbaby (because look what she grew up into) but somebody who would be low maintenance and like both of them.
I know the first day, they had to draw some boundaries about who owned the food on the kitchen counters and he did explore the top shelves of the closets. So I don't know about the laid-back part....
You can see from the picture that Matt posted on facebook that Mortie is real stressed out about his new home. Early returns suggest that he's expecially attached to Matt.
Yay, Mortie!
