Photoessay #1461 - Ruddygore and CWU

Here's a partial group that attended the annual Gilbert and Sullivan matinee yesterday. We've been a part of this event for so many years, nobody can remember. Kids welcome (if they can sit through it). This year we brought Melina. She had never been in a theater like the Bagley Wright for a full scale production like that.

Ruddygore was the production this year, it was the usual silly stuff with lots of singing and dancing and clever staging. And the pattersong, natch.

Afterward to a local restaurant for supper. Picture shows Naomi, Melina and Dennis with our friends Pat and Marjorie.

Today, Naomi and I went to the transfer student orientation at Central Washington University. One word for it, grueling. For various reasons, we weren't properly signed up so we crashed it. She did manage her first priority, getting signed up for classes but it wasn't easy and took hours and lots of stress. All of her classes meet requirements but weren't really the classes she wanted. They used a more old-fashioned process, the ballroom full of tables with signs and advisers.

Very time consuming and dreary. She was crazy by the time it was over. I helped her to get to a more even keel with a smoothie and a CWU sweatshirt. It's all going to work out but very difficult.

My new rugs and floors look great!
