Photoessay #1258 - Star of Mom's Weekend
Back home now. Yesterday afternoon, we dallied by a womeen's spring soccer game Washington State University vs University of Oregon. Sunny day, open field, why not? Afterward we walked a short way between some buildings on our way to the car (seems like it's parking amnesty during Mom's weekend). A few people gathered looking up. There, in the midst of Washington University's athletic facilities high up in a tree right next to a building is an owl sitting on her nest. I wouldn't mess with this mom to be if I were you.
Not that you could get to her. She ignored her observers.
I can't quite tell if there's another little bird in there. No matter, it's all business.
Drive home uneventful. The beauty of the Palouse, grows on you, the rolling hills planted with wheat.
