So this goodbye stretches out over multi-years? Yesterday UO won their game against Washington handily, making it all look easy. After being easily defeated by the same team twice the day before likely dashing their Regional hopes. But their smooth win televised at least regionally makes it possible that they may be selected. Maybe. It will all be revealed this evening. I will be attending a Jewish Studies lecture with Ilana if all goes according to plan.
We also attended the UO Softball banquet in the funky Mallard hall. Actually the facility is adequate and the food tasty. You wonder, with all of the great facilities associated with the athletic department, why does they exile softball to this banquet hall. Whatever. Susanna attended as a member of the coaching staff. This event mainly honors the outgoing seniors, two of which really were in Susanna's class...
Jo, a monster at third base, will be attending a masters program at UW in athletic department administration
Lovena, who will interview for a job in pharmaceutical sales
Alicia, who will be attending a one year Pacific University program preparing her to be an Oregon PE and Health teacher
Amie, who will complete her masters in education at UO, will teach on the way to being an elementary school principal
Kayleen....don't know what Kayleen will be doing.
A good time and, of course, no trip to Eugene would be complete without a stop at Prince PUckler's Ice Cream.
Picture shows the crowd at the game at Senior Day. One of the best most spirited crowds I've ever seen at Howe Field.
And they made Regionals, snuck in as a #4 seed in Oklahoma. Imagine that
