My parent's wedding April 16, 1950. The bride and groom on the right. Wedding held at a restaurant in New Haven Conn. Likely of modest size as my grandparents did not have much money. Assume that a rabbi presided, I can ask my mother about that. Looks like the banquet room of a restaurant.
From left to right
Irwin S. Baumann - my grandfather
Regina Zunder Weil Baumann - my grandmother...Nice suit, clutching her white gloves, always associated those kind of shoes with my grandmother
Malcolm Leichter - Was that his first name? I always knew him as 'Bunny'. But my cousin's name is Malcolm, I'll ask my mother, my mother's brother-in-law.
Ruth Baumann Leichter - my mother's elder sister and matron of honor
Claire Baumann Ginsburgh - the bride and my mother
Allen Sidney Ginsburgh - the groom and my father
Is that a reflection in a mirror on the left? Or could that be a doorway? Maybe Allen's father, my grandfather?
The lace on the dress was on my grandmother's wedding gown. Also mine and my sister's wedding dress. My mother's face so much wider than her sister. My grandfather looking so proud in his double breasted suit.
As might be expected 58 years later, all have passed on except the bride. My mother had lost all of her family of origin by age 50.

Wow, how old is she now? My mother in law had the same experience. So much incurable disease. The truth is, things are not much better now. It must be so hard for her. My in laws buried all of their family and every last one of their friends. They both lived to 93.
