Waiting for the group family picture

 

We took another group picture this week. With Cami at Hamlin Park.  We decided that every family group would wear a different color.  Here they are, we're waiting for Melina and Chris.  I was a distance away waiting for them when I took this picture.  Two new people, Stephen, Naomi's fiance in the reddish shirt and Simon, aged 5 months, I think Ilana is holding him.  The other grandkids are standing in the middle of the group.

We had a picnic dinner right afterward.  17 people!  Danny suggested pot luck.  How about the Civic Club Special?  suggested others.  Explanation: when my kids were young, we rarely went out to eat.  Too many kids, too wild, not much money.  But occasionally we would buy the Chicken Family Deal at Albertsons and take it across the street and eat it at the Civic Club.  So the name Civic Club Special..  Everybody knew it.  They still have it (at a higher price).  I bought 4.  Danny brought drinks, Naomi and Stephen brought plates, etc.  Suzie and Megan brought popsicles.
