My friend Martha mentioned that one of the tasks they had to accomplish when they come back to visit later this summer was to clean out her sister's apartment. Her sister is ill and will be going from skilled nursing to an adult family home.
Thinking of Melina and Chris, I asked if she had any kitchen stuff as Melina and Chris are moving into their first apartment and they don't have any kitchen stuff.
Martha checked and he sister Ruth said Melina could have the kitchen stuff. Ruth, in poor health, said she had left a dirty kitchen. There was a huge pile of dirty dishes. Chris washed them all. We filled up some boxes with pots and pans and casseroles, canned soup, spices and other thins. Here's a picture all the loot.
Dennis also threw out all the refrigerator items and other trash. There's still a lot there but some of it got done.
An older lady stopped by and inquired. She said that somebody had bought a table for their grandson and it hadn't worked out. It was still down in the dining room in the box. Likely Melina could have it. We went downstairs and the maintenance man said we were welcome to it. Brand new!
