Let's go back to 2010. When I first started taking classes. I signed up for a summer Beginning Digital Photography class at the local community college. It was great fun. And important for my brother Charlie. He came to visit and I asked if he could come with. At that point, he didn't have a SLR (neither do I). I told him "You will find out about how much you don't know." So he came and we did some fun exercises. Went home and bought himself his first real camera. The rest is history as he has become a well known (well, kinda well known) photographer.)
These shots were part of a collage I did about an antique rug I had. I thought about all the thing you can do with a rug. Including putting it on the floor and have the dog lie on it. These were some of my shots from the collage. The first is Ilana dropping it from our deck. See, you can have an action shot with a rug! And Naomi and her friend with the rug over their heads.
I was quite satisfied with the collage, I have it up in our bedroom. However my teacher could not understand it at all. We all put our projects up and she talked about them. But she could not say a single thing about it. Oh well, artistes are misunderstood.
Hey, I just looked for a copy of the collage. Found this picture with one of models in the foreground.
