Priscilla again

Talking about Priscilla again.  I see that I wrote something two years ago about the possibility of celebrating Priscilla 50 years after her death.  Then promptly forgot about it.  That date has passed, by the way.

My 50 year high school reunion is coming up.  Dennis and I are going; we were in the same class after all.  Don't have too many contacts left.  But heard from Robert S, a concert pianist.  He was a concert pianist back then too.  We spent a lot of time together.  Actually he contacted me.  He is coming by our airbnb earlier in the day.

And also, Jeanie J.  She was Priscilla's friend in middle and high school.  Back in 1971, there just wasn't so many ways to find out about things, especially uncomfortable events when you were not physically close together.  Jeanie did not know much about Priscilla's death.  I was quite involved with Priscilla that quarter and the events leading up to her death.  I like to emphasize what a great time she had during that fall quarter at Crown College.  But I knew a lot about what happened.  I had forgotten but I had written up the whole story in 2010 when I was taking that yearlong memoir class.  In a memoir style, scene and summary etc.  But I don't think I did anything with it, didn't workshop or try to publish it.  Not that short, 4600 words.  Just too personal, really it's my story.  But I'm glad that I did write it, because I would not have been able to recall many of the details now.  Talking to Jeanie, I realized that she really didn't know what had happened.  I offered to send it to her, I did.

We talked about the scholarship program set up at Crown College.  An award given to a graduating senior for achievement in the exact sciences.  Around 2002, I realized that nobody at Crown College knew anything about Priscilla, so I collected some quotes and pictures (like above) and made a little handout about it.  The materials are still being used

I saw from the website that it had been awarded at least through 2018.  I looked through the commencement videos for the last 2 years, no mention.  So I called the Crown office and asked about it.  They didn't know but are supposedly looking into it.  Is it out of money?
