And the air quality in Seattle? It's terrible. The orange is not as vivid as San Francisco. But it's real bad. This morning we had to turn on the lights. We are now on light purple "Very Unhealthy." That's past red. The whole state is a mess.
And, of course, Naomi is moving this weekend with this dreadful air quality. And she dropped a piece of furniture on her foot mostly tearing off her toenail. She wants her brother to help but he has asthma and moving furniture could really impact him. She asked her tired sister, she says she will help but you have 'to do it my way' which resembles a ton of bricks or other big intervention.
I said I would bring spaghetti over later.
We did have our Inaugural meeting of our Online Saturday chapter for Changes this morning. We've been planning all summer for this. I'm one of the reps for the new group. The other rep is also very smart and capable. The reps are in charge of the meeting, we make the decisions. Of course, it's in zoom but we do a lot of breakout rooms and passing the host around. Lucky for me, we have some very competent people who take care of that.
I gave a little speech at the beginning as I was the Rep In Charge. But this will be only the one time.
We had 20 come including 4 new people. Who were from Maine and Nebraska. It all went well, our presenter Tim was great; Martha did orientation. With this format the reps don't have any fixed task (for right now). I told Martha when I was a rep in Seattle with Curtis, he did all the work and all I had to do was be Queen. She did not particularly like that idea but going over all the jobs, it kind of emerged.
We have a great planning group but I was kinda nervous about it.
This smoke does not look like it's going away.
