Perry and Laura

We went to visit our friends Perry and Laura this morning.  In the backyard socially distanced.  We've been friends since the mid 70s, been through many things.  We have a housekeeper that comes of Tuesday morinngs and, for the these past few months, we agreed to be somewhere else.  Sometimes we go visit Perry and Laura in Redmond.  Months can go by when we don't get together but we always enjoy ourselves when we do.  So we came this morning and often bring pastry or similar.  We sit in the backyard and visit.  Today, Starbaby (the cat) had a grooming appt so we were a little early.  And brought bagels and cream cheese.  We sat and chatted and had a generally good time.

I took this picture from their back door step.  They have their backs to us.  I didn't know how I was going to use the picture.

When I got home, I saw that Perry had posted his wedding picture.  1978, I believe.  We were there!  In Chico in Sept.  It was supposed to be in the morning at their home with a breakfast reception.  But a wind storm came through and knocked all the power.  So they switched the wedding to the porch (my idea, I think).  And had the reception at their landlord's house next door.

Whew, I wouldn't have recognized them!  So it's 42 years for them and 44 for us.  And we all had so much more hair then....
