This local author Lareen Nussbaum, 92, was featured in yesterday's Seattle Times. She's recently published a book "Shedding our Stars" about a Nazi bureaucrat in occupied Amsterdam who saved thousands of Jews through reclassification. Amsterdam teen who knew Anne and Margot Frank. Huh, maybe she knew Lothar?? My family cousin and teenage Holocaust victim? I write the author of the newspaper story who passed on my note to Ms. Nussbaum. And she replied promptly. And she remembered Lothar! She knew him! She offered to meet with me and she has a picture and a story. We are getting closer and closer. He won't be forgotten!
