Years ago, we bought this 10 person geodesic tent. It was big enough on camping trips (very short duration) to have all our stuff, people AND a full size play pen. Naomi was putting on a reading night for her ELL (English Language Learner) students with a camping theme. Dennis suggested putting up our big tent. That we haven't used for a real long time.
Dennis had suggested a few years ago that we should put in a new commitment to camping and I told him he should do it with his other wife because I wasn't going camping. He didn't like that too much.
So he brought the tent. He had always said it took two sober people to put it up. It's not easy! He said he struggled with it but did manage to get it up. He confirmed that it was a kid magnet. Everybody loved it.
I've been off doing a variation of a colonoscopy. Now that's several days of real misery for you. Especially as you get older and you're not so great with the anesthesia. They are not at all apologetic about it either.
But today is Dennis and my 43rd wedding anniversary, That deserves a post on its own. We're going to try to go to the early of the earliest dinner.
