Refuge

My cousin who lives on the Big Island posted that Puuhonua O Honaunau (City of Refuge) National Park was temporarily closed due to rain damage.  I visited this place on my sibling trip to Hawaii in 2010 the December after my mother died.  This place traditionally had been an actual place of refuge.  Anyone who felt in danger could come here and be protected by the gods.  I felt the spiritual hold immediately.  Sometimes I can really feel it, that special aura.  I've felt it on the way up Mount Shasta (also imbued with spiritual powers)  And also here. Yes, I felt safe but I could hear and feel a lot going on here underneath the surface.  Powerful vibrations, intentions and voices.
