Photoessay #2800 - Thanksgiving 2013

I realized that I never wrote a post yesterday.  Too too busy.  Had to get ready to go to class; intense class workshopping papers; got home around 2:30pm.  Naomi and I power-coorked for tow hours, making apple cake, tons of dressing, tons of cranberry sauce and took a bunch of leftovers and made dinner with them.  Then went to Parent Group.  I am always surprised about our meeting the night before Thanksgiving.  Nobody ever comes, right?  We had 25 regular members plus 5 new people!

So here's the group for this year.  Thirteen, I believe.  Maybe the Garrisons next year or we go over there next year.  It was basically us plus my daughter in law Jessica's family and Megan's family.  It was a good group; blended well.  Just enough bustle.  I loved the rented chairs, can't we keep them.  Cooked my 23 pound turkey for 4 hours, came out great.  I serve early about 1 pm.  The other folks brought plenty of food.  It's my favorite meal.  I am used to doing it.

We did it semi buffet.  Some things we put on the divider, some on the tables.  Good group, kids.  We had exrtra dogs in shifts.  First Danny and Jessica's dog Maddie, a poodle/yorkie mix.  She yapped but not too bad.  They settled down.  The kids through the ball for Teddy so he was happy.  Then later, we had Kai, Megan's dad's Golden.  Who was rambuctious at first but then settled down.  He and Teddy even did some wrestling.

Good time was had by all and the mess is almost cleaned up.
