Photoessay #2798 - Nobuko and Ai Ai

A picture taken by Jackie last week of Nobuko, in front of Ai Ai the center for autistic children and adults that she directs in Yamagata City.

A big city but not a big city, as Deenis says.  Definitely a provincial city.

Ai Ai is a going concern with an adult day workshop downstairs an elementary school age after school program upstairs.  Several pre-school programs are administered at different locations.  In Japan, not every organization has a website and even fewer have websites in English.  So if you try to firn "Ai Ai" using a google search, you cannot find it.

Nobuko has worked there her whole professional life; she also speaks throughout Japan about treatments for autistic children and adults.

Cute picture...except she has her eyes closed....
