The story of Morris Baumann and his family are on the Schmeiheim site; part of the Kehila Links on JewishGen.The Kehila links provide membersan opportunity to build websites for any community where Jews have lived. Peter Dreifuss (lives in New Jersey, I think), maintains a site about Schmeiheim, a small village in Baden, less than 10 miles from the French border. Many thanks to Sue Lederer Geiger for recognizing that Morris Baumann was really Maier Baumann in ancestry family trees. Peter Dreifuss told me about Ortssipenbuchers or 'family books' and sent me the portions for Morris Baumanns family. He asked me if I would write a piece about Morris; I did. He redid parts of the website. Nice new design. You click on "Contributed Stories" and there's Morris and Clara!
