Photoesssay #2556 - The Flower Girls

J anine had a whole passel of flower girls and they were cute.  Even in an elementary school gym.  The professional photographer, always having to be resourceful, picked out a space outside the school that would be appropriate pictures.

So here's the deal.  The flower girls were all out there to have their pictures taken.  They each had their basket in front of them and handfuls of yellow flower petals.  At the count of three, they were all supposed to throw their petals.  They're ready and attentive.  The little girl on the left is looking at the older girls, making sure that she's with the program.

But the littlest flower girl on the right, the toddler, she's got her own ideas.  She like those baskets, all right.  So a second after the first shot, she whips down the line, throwing each of the flower baskets over her shoulder.  Toddler chaos!  And so quickly!

As she destroyed the tableau, the flower girls threw up their petals. The toddler is just about to grab the last basket.

I took the shot.  It's cute but woefully out of focus.
