Today I'm featuring my friend Diana's new blog. She's in my writing group and she's working on a young adult novel based on her grandmother's journey from a rural Mexican ranch to Texas around 1910. We've really enjoyed the story so much.
"Evangelina's Journey" is the working title of her book and I have to admit that I was the one who suggested it. I realize that it might not endure but it did seem like a personal best to me.
So, read about her progress on her book and as a blogger. I'm using her banner as my picture for today.
The schedule all caved in today. That's what happens when you have an almost 13 year old granddaughter and you structure the day around her. The plan was for Dennis and me plus Danny (my son and her father) and Jessica (his new wife) to pick her up and go to a special exhibit at Seattle Center preceded by lunch at the Armory (formerly Center House), then to our house where Danny was going to share his wedding pictures from the official photographer. I prepared dinner in the crock pot in case people stuck around and then Danny would bring her home in his new car.
Except she called and said she was sick (she sounded pretty bad) so the whole thing fell apart.
So I'm back working on my never-ending projects.
