Naomi's off for 10 weeks in Asia. First a few days in Hong Kong, then 9 weeks in Macao then almost a week in Japan. Somehow this felt more like an empty nest event. Even though she will be back living with us for at least one quarter when she comes back to do her student teaching. Then, who knows?
Not such a great shot; her eyes kinda look closed. Turns out that I had the camera set weird and didn't quite recognize it. But look, for the first time in our family's history...matching luggage. we bought this set at Costco a few days ago. The world's second biggest suitcase.
This trip is tremendously supported but who ever wants their youngest adult child in a plane over the Pacific/ So surprising that it's a nine hour plus flight to Tokyo and another five hour flight Hong Kong. I somehow didn't know that those places were so far apart.
But safe flying! Hope to hear that they all got to Hong Kong safely. Which won't be until about 7am tomorrow morning our time.
There's 8 of them going; 6 on this flight. The professor and her husband will meet them at the airport.
